Paratype: CAS-SU 50195 (1). •Synonym of Pantanodon stuhlmanni (Ahl 1924) -- (Seegers 1997:15 [ref. 23895], Lazara 2001:247 [ref. 25711], Seegers et al. 2003:40 [ref. 28087]). •Valid as Pantanodon podoxys Myers 1955 -- (Parenti 1981:509 [ref. 7066], Wildekamp et al. 1986:170 [ref. 6198], Poll & Gosse 1995:207 [ref. 24781], Meinema & Huber 2023:39 [ref. 40175]). Current status: Valid as Pantanodon podoxys Myers 1955. Pantanodontidae. Distribution: Southeast Africa: coastal swamps and lagoons of Tanzania. Habitat: freshwater, brackish.
